HUGE QUANTITIES OF SOLID COLOURS NEEDED! Exciting news - you probably need to enlarge your stash!

One option for those flying in is to share with others. E.g. one person brings a certain colour range, the other person brings the rest of the rainbow. Several of the NZ students are happy to share with those flying in - contact Kathy to arrange this.
Note - yardage, no fat quarters. Solids, not marbled. Please check the details of what she expects.
Fabric Supplies
The local fabric shop, Thimbles and Threads, stocks 100 Kona solids. They will order in more of any colour for you.
They also offer 20% discount for all purchases to class members.
Final orders need to be placed by September 2018 to ensure your order can be filled from their stockists if necessary. They will open additional hours by arrangement for you to collect purchases.

Fabric deliveries
The venue is happy to be a delivery address for your fabric purchases.
- Please ensure any parcels are clearly LABELLED with your name, and addressed to: Nancy Crow workshop, c/o Silverstream Retreat, 3 Reynolds Bach Drive, Lower Hutt, Wellington 5019, New Zealand. Phone: (+64) 4 562 9080.
- Duty for any goods sent to NZ applies to goods + postage above $400 for a single package. You can send one package of up to that value per month.
- A good alternative to incurring duty charges is to pay ahead of time for extra baggage with your airline.
- Any insurance is the owner's responsibility.
Other supplies
- Sewing machines: Bernina hire out good quality quilting machines. We will arrange this on your behalf. Previously the cost has been $100 per week. They come to service these if necessary.
- Cutting mats: New large cutting mats (2' x 3'; approx. A1 size, 60cm x 90cm) are available for hire. In 2017, the cost for these was $30 per week.
- Colour printing: Nancy expects participants to maintain a journal of class notes and photos of your creations/exercises. We will have a colour printer on site.
- Laptop and projector: These will be available for participants for presenting your 'portfolio' of existing quilts. Nancy asks participants to bring quilts or present digital images of their work.
